    Discrimination against women and structural changes towards gender equality are the core elements of the shift toward a universal secular government. A point to note is that in Iran, we have various segments and groups of women, and future planning must consider them to realize the ideal of equality. We must pay attention to the following realities and find appropriate responses for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Some women in Iran traditionally hold religious beliefs and live according to those beliefs. In a future secular government, what will be the social status of these women?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Under the current government, there is a group of women who have contributed to the sustainability and promotion of Islamic fundamentalism. However, these are women with higher education and positions in the current government. What should be done with this group of women?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Millions of women in underprivileged areas of the country live according to their local customs. How should this group of women be included in governance?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We also have an educated, secular urban women\u2019s class who, more than other segments, have resisted government pressures in various ways and played a role in overthrowing the Islamic government. These women have the knowledge and ability to contribute to organizing the future government.
